Sending Money to another BDO Account online is a convenient service I use a lot.
This option is more convenient and way cheaper compared to going to the bank and making the deposit in person.
When you do a bank deposit, you have to take time off your day to go to the nearest BDO branch, wait in line a long time, not to mention at times you have to pay a Php 50 BDO inter-bank fee if the BDO account you are making the deposit to was opened in another region.
Rather than going through all these, you can accomplish the fund transfer to another BDO account number with a few clicks of the fingesr on your computer or on the BDO mobile phone app. If you are doing a one-time BDO money transfer, you don’t even have to register or enrol the other BDO bank account.
Here are the steps on how to Send Money to an Unenrolled or Unregistered BDO Account:
1
Log on to your BDO Online Banking account.
2
On the Navigation Menu choose Send Money and then To Any BDO Account.
The BDO Send Money amount limit of what you can transfer per day is Php 10,000. Minimum amount you can transfer is Php 100.
3
From the drop down choose the BDO account number you want to get the money from. Enter the desired Amount and then the Destination Account Number.
Filling out the Remarks field is optional.
You can then hit Submit at the bottom. This will not transfer the money just yet, you will be asked to confirm the transaction twice to make sure you are authorizing it.
4
A verification window will pop up before the transaction can go through. Double check the Amount you are transferring and the Destination BDO Account Number to make sure they are correct.
You can then click on Continue.
5
For your security, to ensure that the BDO send money transaction was authorized by you, an SMS to your registered mobile phone number will be sent with a One-Time Password.
This is how the SMS from BDO will look like, make sure that the Reference Numbers match:
6
Enter the 6-digit OTP and then hit on Submit. If the transfer is successful, you will see the following page:
Take a screenshot of this and save it as your Proof of Payment that you did the Fund Transfer.
If it did not go through, there may be an issue with the One-time Password you entered or the Originating Account you were transferring from may not have enough funds.
The BDO Online Bank Transfer is automatic. It might not show on the Recent Transactions list right away but the other party should see that their BDO Account Balance has already updated to include the amount you have sent.
As of March 2017, there is supposed to be a Php 10 BDO transaction fee for this service but so far, ever since I have been doing this I have not seen any such charge on my bank account.
Hope this Send Money to any BDO Account service will prove useful to you.
The next time you pay for that item from your online shopping, that hotel booking or even simply lending money to somebody or paying what you owe to a friend, you may want to consider doing the BDO Online Bank Transfer if they are BDO account holders, too. It is fast, convenient and secured.
